Post 3A Academic Challenges in 2020




Well today I’m going to talk about my career and the changes I would like to make to the programme.
I’m studying musical interpretation in trombone since 2013. During the first year, I was only taught to play my instrument and Musical Theory. Other subjects I have been taught are Harmony, Basic Piano, Practice of Orchestra, Wind Band, Chamber Music, and English. I think these subjects are very useful for my professional development; however, some of them could be mixed or taught earlier in order to shorten the length of the studies.

Music formation is another subject I was taught, this one is related to teaching formation, so I was able to learn about learning theories and paradigms. I think this is very useful and I would like to continue learning about teaching.

The length of the career is 4 years in the initial phase and 5 years more in the advanced phase, and the workload is a little bit high but not too much. A big change I would do would be to shorten the programme; I think that some subjects can be done earlier or mixed.

The building is very old, the infrastructure is not the best, and the elevator is frequently out of service. In these days, we have space where we can have lunch but not a cafeteria, and then we have to leave the campus to buy something at a market.
In some cases, the teaching methods are out-dated, there are teacher that do not include didactic activities, their classes are just expositive, then students do not participate much.

    nice post something similar happens for me in my career in relation for the curriculum mesh I think that the different careers of the faculty in themselves don´t try to make changes over the years being that it would be good to listen to the suggestions of the students

    Hi

    In my opinion the students aren't participate beacause they haven't want to be involve with politics.

    And I agree with that If you considerer that everything that is going to be a good change for all, a little group try to capitalize it.

    I think that in university we need to be politic but no act as poltics. And probably more people will involve.

    I had forgotten the piano subject, I think that should also improve and be a little more demanding or with more years.

    Our faculty and its facilities are a complete disaster, there are many things to fix at administration, education and artistry. I understand your way to think.

The Best holidays that I`ve in my life was in 2017, I travelled around Chile, it`s started in January, with a tour with the Metropolitan Student Orchestra, we went three days to the south of Chile and immediately when I come back to Santiago, I went to Iquique with my family for another 5 days. Post 4A TV SHOWS AND SERIES

HELLO, I hope that you’re so well, today I’m going to talk about my favorite Series. I have two favorite series, the first one is Bates Motel, I like because this series is based in Phsyco of Alfred Hitchcock. The history and plot is a suspense story. The Story starts about the life of one mother and his son. Post 1A A Country I`d like to visit English IV

I would like to visit England, in particular its capital city: London because I think this city is rich in culture, art, and history. I’ve heard that it's a nice place with beautiful landscapes and great architectural attractions such as Big Ben, Tower Bridge, London Eye, River Thames, and etc. I also would like to walk around the city and visit historical places.          I would like to study Trombone in the Royal College of Music, because it's one of the best conservatories of the world.
